Melbourn: casino employee to organise a strike
Friday, 15 October 2010
Strike is becoming the new passion of casino employee in Australia and today the strike is concerning the casino of Melbourne. Employees want to get a raise from the casino and threaten the casino to organise a strike if it refuses during the busy spring racing carnival. The union members have organised a ballot and agreed on the fact to organise a strike if they don’t get what they want.

The strike will concern most of the employees: gaming workers, and food and beverage staff. The casino wants to change the salary of some employees and pay the experimented dealer as the beginner’s one that means that the experimented dealer will lose $5000 a year. According to the Union, it is unacceptable. The casino is using the crisis to abuse of their employees. But, if all of the staff go in strike, it would be difficult to replace all of them.
