The Fiji Islands are looking for more tourists to increase their economy and the government has taken the initiative to launch a tender for the construction of a casino. The casino will create jobs and does also bring new revenue to the country. Since the fall of sugar, Fiji record revenue only this tourism. The government is trying to find new opportunities without destroying the scenery of the Island. The tourism minister hopes that this project will attract European, Chinese and Indian tourists and attract more Australians and New Zealander tourists without destroying the natural sites of the country.

The country is compose with only 900 000 people. Every year, the country greet around 450 000 visitors which is not a lot for running an economy. At the moment, a casino is probably the best idea to have even if it can create an addiction problem to the citizen of the country.
